It Started With A Swipe
Baleigh and Will met in March 2020, right in the middle of the chaos of COVID, after matching on Tinder. At the time, Baleigh was working in Kansas City as a registered nurse on a COVID unit, while Will was finishing his final semester at Missouri State University remotely.
Because of the pandemic, their first date looked a little different than they had imagined. Instead of going out, they stayed in at Baleigh’s loft, watched Love Island, and ordered Chinese takeout. After dinner, they opened their fortune cookies and shared their fortunes with each other. Will’s was unremarkable and forgettable, but Baleigh’s fortune would end up meaning much more than either of them could have imagined. They now have this fortune framed, which you can see below.
What started as one Chinese takeout date turned into car concerts, road trips, adopting pets, dancing in the kitchen, endless belly laughs, and finding a best friend and soulmate in each other.
A love story written in March, sealed with the name March.
